Account deletion guide

You can request account deletion inside the app.

1Sign in to Ongi.
2In Settings, choose Delete account.
3Review what will be deleted, then confirm.
Open the delete account screen

If you can't sign in

Leave the email you signed up with and we'll log the request. A request is not a deletion — it starts a verification step, because no one should be able to delete someone else's account. Our team verifies ownership before deleting.

You can delete your account without answering.

What is deleted and what is retained

Deleted

  • Account information such as email, nickname, date of birth, and profile photo
  • Pet information, photos, videos, and records
  • Comments, reactions, and activity information

Retained as required by law

  • Payment, transaction, and refund records: kept separately from your account for 5 years under Korean e-commerce law, then destroyed
  • Report and moderation history: retained without identifiers for dispute handling

Retained data contains no personal information that identifies your account and is not used for any purpose beyond the legal retention requirement.
